Saying for Writers #19

Another Quotation which Might (or Might Not) Inspire You to Write:

“A book is like a garden carried in the pocket." - Chinese Proverb

Our prayers go out to the tsunami and earthquake victims in Japan and throughout the Pacific Rim. Haven't heard about casualties in China, and perhaps they were shielded from the worst damages.

  1. I like that proverb...
And I like coming to your blog even when you have not written anything new...That picture is so calming to me!! Do you live anywhere near that river? I love it!
    How's the writing coming along?

  2. Thanks, Sharon. A friend took that photo near Eureka, close to the Canadian borner roughly 65 miles north of my Kalispell home. The scenery is gorgeous around here and Glacier National Park is nearby. There's a great writers conference in Kalispell in October, and I'll be posting info for those who'd like some nature with their learning and networking.

  3. Awesome, Dixon. I'll keep my eyes open for your updates. October seems so far away right now, but time has a way of flying the older we get!
